Tacoma Zoo

We made a special trip last weekend to the Tacoma Point Defiance Zoo. Tacoma is 45min south of Seattle (it's the "Tac" in "Sea-Tac" airport). The zoo is located at Point Defiance Park, which is a beautiful wooded park with great water-front natural space and views of Vashon Island, Gig Harbor and the Olympic Penninsula.

First, Sam explored the Kid Zone:

We walked along the beach and saw a wild sea otter eating a fish (not captured on camera).
